[INAUGURATION] 🚀A new era for European semiconductors begins in Grenoble! CEA-Leti has officially inaugurated a 2,000 m² state-of-the-art cleanroom dedicated to 300 mm semiconductor manufacturing, marking a major milestone for Europe’s semiconductor ecosystem. 🌍 This new facility part of the FAMES Pilot Line coordinated by CEA-Leti brings together 11 partners from 8 European countries and supports the objectives of the EU Chips Act: accelerating the maturation and industrial transfer of advanced microelectronics technologies. 🏭 What’s new? • 2,000 m² of additional cleanroom space, bringing CEA-Leti’s total to 14,000 m² • 80 new cutting-edge tools for next-generation 300-mm processes • Designed for FD-SOI, RF, embedded memories, 3D integration, and power management • Built in just two years, with infrastructure designed to remain relevant for the next 20–30 years 🤝 From lab to market The new cleanroom offers industrial partners near-production conditions to test, qualify, and scale advanced technologies—strengthening Europe’s semiconductor value chain and reinforcing technological sovereignty. Funded by the European Commission, 8 EU Member States, and France 2030, this initiative underlines the power of collaboration to shape the future of microelectronics in Europe. 📹 credits: Unanime-Equans-Vivaprod #France2030 | Chips Joint Undertaking | Julie Galland | Sébastien Dauvé | Jean-rené Lèquepeys | Chrystel Deguet | Equans
