A global milestone, now formally published. The Recommendation Q.5055 – “Technical Requirements, Interfaces and Generic Functions of CEIR,” initiated and actively contributed by Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) , has now been officially published by International Telecommunication Union - taking India’s #innovation one step closer to global adoption. This marks the transition from proposal → approval → global standard publication. Built on India’s successful #CEIR implementation, the recommendation provides a structured framework to combat #counterfeit, #stolen, and cloned mobile devices - a challenge faced globally. Led by C-DOT under the guidance of Department of Telecommunications ( DOT ) , this #achievement reinforces India’s growing role in shaping global #telecom standards.
