Beyond Innovation: Technology That Protects Humanity In a major step towards safeguarding every #citizen, Hon’ble Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region Shri Jyotiraditya M Scindia Ji, launched the nationwide mobile-based disaster communication system - our own #Swadeshi #CellBroadcast Solution, designed & developed by Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) with support from Department of Telecommunications ( DOT ), Ministry of Home Affairs, National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA)INDIA and under the guidance of Hon’ble Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah Ji . This nationwide #CellBroadcast solution: i. Enables near real-time alerts to mobile devices in geographically affected areas ii. Delivers messages in 21 languages with a high-priority alert sound. iii. Can send alerts to entire nation at once. iv. Requires no internet or app subscription, ensuring universal accessibility v. Supports read-aloud feature for instant comprehension vi. Ensures last-mile reach - even during critical situations This helps save lives by ensuring every citizen is #informed , #prepared , and able to act early during emergencies. With this, Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) joins the list of very few players in Cell Broadcast technology.
