Biochemistry Masters Student at the University of Cambridge
I am delighted to share that I have completed my BA in Natural Sciences (Biochemistry) at the University of Cambridge, achieving First-Class Honours in all three years and ranking 5th in my final year. I am particularly proud of my research project dissertation in Professor Paul Dupree’s Lab, on the composition and interactions of cell wall hemicelluloses in Sphagnum (peat moss), and my prepared essay, on the use of metagenomics to solve global medical and environmental challenges, achieving marks of 81.4% and 88% respectively. Prior to returning to Cambridge for an integrated MSci in Biochemistry, I will be at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) undertaking a summer research internship in the O’Neill Lab. This will involve using CRISPR and PROTAC technology to identify proteins that are essential for circadian rhythms in mammalian cells!
