This week, CDC opened the doors to its Brooklyn campus for Inside the Data Centre: Careers in Critical Infrastructure. The event offered a first-hand look at the systems, people and responsibilities that keep Australia’s digital economy running every day.   For the first time, we welcomed members of the local community into a live, operational data centre. Attendees experienced the realities of working in critical infrastructure, from strict security and access protocols to guided tours led by the technicians and operators who run these facilities around the clock. The evening highlighted how technical skills translate into real‑world roles inside a live data centre and how those careers can grow over time. For those ready to take the next step, recruitment conversations began on the spot.   As we continue to invest in our Victorian campuses at Brooklyn and Laverton, we’re proud to be creating skilled, long‑term jobs in the communities where we operate.
