CDC was proud to support the recent AIIA Canberra Managers’ Forum as a Gold Sponsor. The event featured a keynote address by Commissioner Krissy Barrett APM, Australian Federal Police, who shared valuable insights drawn from her leadership experience across complex national security and law enforcement environments. Rather than a traditional security update, Commissioner Barrett outlined how the nature of crime is rapidly evolving in an increasingly digital and interconnected world, where the boundaries between organised crime, terrorism and state-based activity are dissolving and threats adapt quickly to opportunity. A key theme was the growing importance of control over data and infrastructure, and the role this plays in enabling effective law enforcement and protecting national capability. Commissioner Barrett highlighted that addressing these challenges can no longer rely on standalone technologies or transactional procurement models. Instead, collaboration across government and industry based on partnerships and shared outcomes is essential to strengthening resilience and public trust as technology continues to evolve at pace. The event also raised $1,700 for Hands Across Canberra, the AIIA ACT Council’s charity partner. This contribution supports their vital community initiatives across the region. #CDC #DataCentres #Innovation #Leadership #ProgressSecured #CommunityImpact Greg Boorer Genevieve Jacobs AM
