💠 Looking Back | Research in Practice Some of the most meaningful research stories don't end when a project concludes. They evolve into new questions, new collaborations, and new tools that continue to shape policy and practice. This special episode of the CCDP Spotlight Podcast looks back on five years of research examining how global political change is reshaping United Nations peace missions. Producer Jennifer Thornquest is joined by Research Professor Sara Hellmüller, and research team Fanny BADACHE,PhD, Bilal Salaymeh, and Margaux Pinaud to reflect on the journey from research to impact. Together, they discuss how changing geopolitical dynamics have influenced UN peace operations, the development of the UN Peace Missions Mandates and Methods (UNPMM) dataset and mobile app, and how these projects informed policy discussions while opening new avenues of research at CCDP. The conversation also looks ahead to Sara Hellmüller's five-year project, YES, I DO: A Theory on Belligerent Consent to United Nations Peace Missions, demonstrating how one research programme can generate new questions, partnerships, and practical resources. As we look back on CCDP's work over the coming weeks, we'll be sharing stories like this that highlight how research connects with policy, practice, and global conversations. 🎧 Listen to the full episode: 🔹 YouTube: https://lnkd.in/gK-fnU6P 🔹 Spotify: https://lnkd.in/gXUMgcjp 🔹 Simplecast: https://lnkd.in/eeCUvpMg 🔗 Explore the UN Peace Missions Mandates and Methods (UNPMM) platform: https://lnkd.in/eXUt4znu 📍 Follow the work Sara Hellmüller's project: https://lnkd.in/eAaU9F2H Sara Hellmüller Keith Krause Eliza U.
