Following February’s Mayoral Roundtable in Manchester, where mayors, business leaders and universities came together around a shared ambition to unlock regional growth, the CBI (Confederation of British Industry) and UK Mayors’ Network convened an Investment Readiness Workshop to turn that momentum into practical action. The focus was clear: how places can move from ambitious pipelines to genuinely investable propositions that attract UK and global capital.   A huge thank you to colleagues from combined authorities, Devolution Priority Programme areas, business, finance and the wider investment community who joined us for such a constructive and practical discussion. From commercial models and delivery routes to risk allocation, viability gaps and investor confidence, the workshop underlined the importance of partnership, pace and clarity in unlocking regional investment.   The challenge now is to keep the conversations going by connecting places with investors, strengthening propositions and removing barriers to follow-up activity.   We look forward to continuing this work with the UK Mayors’ Network and partners across the country as we help turn regional potential into real economic outcomes.   #RegionalGrowth #Devolution #Investment #IndustrialStrategy #UKMayors #BusinessInvestment
