Darline Graham Nordone (R, SC) has been sworn in to the U.S. Senate after Gov. Henry McMaster appointed her to serve the remainder of the late Sen. Lindsey Graham’s term. Nordone becomes the first woman to represent South Carolina in the Senate. Her appointment also brings women’s representation in the chamber to a record 27, including a record 11 Republican women.
