Department Head at The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria
Today - the day of millions living with HIV, battling with TB or malaria, awaiting greater access for quality health services; the day of millions of children, women and men dreaming to be protected from diseases and outbreaks Today - the day we have to again show we truly believe in affording all - regardless of where they are born or come from - opportunities for better health, for health, for productivity Today - my 16th birthday at the Global Fund and the day we should not even need to advocate for the 70 reasons to save 70 million lives Today is the Global Fund 8th Replenishment day - replenishing to end the 3 diseases Today, we are one, collectively, for our present and our future. Let’s do everything to stop at nothing for our communities and economies. Governments, donors, actors from all sectors, communities, let’s ensure funds and resources are mobilized, in solidarity, and are sufficient to respond efficiently to HIV, tuberculosis, malaria and build lasting and stronger health systems. Today has to be another celebration day in the journey of overcoming diseases and systems’ challenges. And what better remarkable instrument than the Global Fund Partnership! #StopAtNothing #TheGlobalFund Peter Sands Christy Feig Mark Eldon-Edington Adda F. Nelly Comon Christina D.
