Malaria is preventable—but for too many children under 5, it’s still deadly. When prevention is woven into local health systems people trust, children are protected before they get sick. Families stay strong. Students can continue attending to school. Communities thrive. In 2025, CRS continued working with governments around the world to help avert an estimated 4 million malaria cases among children under 5—showing what’s possible when lifesaving solutions are integrated, efficient and locally led. As World Malaria Day approaches, we call for urgent action for sustained investment to scale proven interventions—because we can end malaria, and we must act now to protect our children. #WorldMalariaDay #ZeroMalaria #WMD2026
