Vinod’s career began in a small-scale manufacturing unit in the early 2000s. Fast forward to today, as a Product Procurement Engineer at Caterpillar, he often reflects on his journey, and one thing stands out clearly: No matter the role, creativity has always been at the core of his work. 💡 In his early days, Vinod worked on customized machine designs, long before advanced digital tools were common. Equipped with just pencil and paper, he translated ideas into detailed drawings. His ability to think differently and communicate innovation through sketches opened doors for him, eventually leading him to Caterpillar in 2012. At Caterpillar, Vinod’s early focus was on developing safe temperature testing capabilities under laboratory conditions for our equipment at our design center. He contributed to the design and development of critical components and supported their procurement for manufacturing operations, ensuring that innovation met real operational needs. ⚙️ This time, his creativity flowed through digital platforms. 🖥️ Today, he leads New Product Introduction (NPI) and program management under the Power & Energy division. As an inspirational leader, Vinod mentors new engineers and motivates them to build on their unique strengths and capabilities. ✨ Vinod says “If there’s one thing that hasn’t changed, it’s creativity.
