What happened in Detroit last week was more than a successful conference. It was a strong signal that Catena-X is gaining real momentum in North America. 🚀   Together with AIAG - Automotive Industry Action Group, Catena-X hosted the first AIAG North America Catena-X Conference — bringing together OEMs, suppliers, technology providers, and industry associations - in sum over 200 people - from across the ecosystem. The discussions made one thing clear: the conversation in North America has shifted from awareness to implementation.   Outstanding: some of the strongest calls for acceleration came from the supplier community. Companies across the Tier supplier ecosystem emphasized the need to move beyond fragmented reporting requirements and isolated infrastructures toward shared, interoperable standards that reduce complexity across the entire value chain.    Particularly encouraging was also the engagement from the North American OEM landscape. Ford Motor Company and General Motors demonstrated clear commitment through active proof-of-concept initiatives and open discussions around how to scale Catena-X use cases further.    Key insight: when panelists were asked whether technology or collaboration is the bigger challenge, the answer across the room was immediate: collaboration. Several sessions demonstrated why this matters.   A standout keynote came from Magna’s John Farrell, who made a compelling case for scalable data collaboration as a business imperative for the automotive industry. His ask:  - More tier -1 engagement - Bring your best people - Act now: this is our one window Frank Goeller presented a new joint study by Volkswagen Group, Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering IAO, and Technical University of Munich for the first time — showing the concrete economic value that Catena-X can create, all the way down to a single vehicle.   We were also honored to welcome Prashant K Banerjee, President of SIAM and representative of the prospective Indian Catena-X Hub — another strong signal of the growing global momentum behind Catena-X.   Beyond the conference itself, the week also marked an important strategic milestone for Catena-X in North America. The entire Catena-X Board gathered in Detroit for a multi-day strategy workshop focused on accelerating regional adoption and strengthening collaboration with AIAG on future initiatives, trainings, and ecosystem development.   A heartfelt thank you to Kevin Piotrowski, Bing Xu, Matt Pohlman, and the entire team of our North American Catena-X hub, for hosting an outstanding week and creating such a strong platform for collaboration.   Detroit showed clearly where the industry is heading.   #CatenaX #AIAG #AutomotiveIndustry #DataSpaces #DigitalTransformation #SupplyChain #Interoperability #Collaboration #NorthAmerica #AutomotiveInnovation
