The priority consideration deadline is March 17, 2026. https://lnkd.in/gPDVNzwN The Director of Accessibility & Student Support Services, the Assistant Director of Accessibility & Student Support Services will assist the college in meeting federal requirements under Title IX of the Education Amendments of the 1972 Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and other various state laws, the Assistant Director will support in leading the Student Accessibility Services office by interacting with students, faculty, and staff to approach disability from a social model lens. There is nothing wrong with having a disability and SAS plays a critical role in removing institutional barriers. The Assistant Director will meet with students to determine appropriate accommodations, train them on how to use note-taking software as part of their accommodations, and will work with students if any concern arises regarding their accommodations. As part of a key team member of SAS, this Assistant Director will play pivotal role in raising awareness to the campus community regarding disability, making digital materials accessible, and will build effective relationships across campus to build an inclusive environment for students with disabilities. This position also performs a critical role in the CARE Team (team of staff and faculty devoted to the well-being and health of students. The Assistant Director will be heavily involved in the day to day operations of the CARE Team by conducting outreach to students of concern, reviewing incoming reports to determine urgency, alerting the appropriate staff when critical issues arise, gathering additional information from reporters and related individuals, help students identify relevant resources, and make referrals to appropriate on-campus departments. They will also collaborate with the Director of Accessibility & Student Support Services to analyze program data and assist with promoting CARE Team services to increase awareness within the campus community. The Assistant Director will have an emphatic and understanding approach to their work when supporting a diverse group of students.
