The piece featured was an exact replica of the Lunar Excursion Module created by Cartier Paris in 1969 from gold, lacquer and enamel. One of three replicas commissioned to celebrate the Apollo 11 moon landing and offered to the mission's astronauts, this creation was a key piece in an experience that retraced 250 years of creative resonance and artistic exchange between the United States and France. In partnership with the Villa Albertine, Lizzie and Jonathan Tisch, JCDecaux, and ISG Luxury Program, the special exhibition invited visitors to discover the deep relationship between the two nations.
