Have you ever experienced mansplaining❔ It's honestly never bothered me because it's usually a person with a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience who wants to share it with me. I choose to see it as a sign they care, thank them, and proceed without taking offense. BUT, have you ever experienced AI-splaining⁉️ This is characterized by someone who knows literally nothing about the topic or the history of the problem entering it into ChatGPT and generating a response they think will save the world. When it happened to me I was taken aback and wasn't even sure how to respond. I was offended. Not because I'm a woman and they're a man and it's a construction issue. I was offended because I have 30 years of experience, have been working on the project for a year, and this person thought the ChatGPT solution was better than whatever I was coming up with.
