The survey drew 268 respondents between March 1 and April 15, 2025, representing approximately 52% of AALA membership at the time. According to the survey, 57.7% of respondents reported working more than 40 hours per week, while 91% said they work on weekends. Nearly 39% reported annual income from agenting work below $50,000 (โ‚ฌ43,900), including 21.2% earning less than $25,000 (โ‚ฌ21,950). Three-quarters of respondents reported secondary income streams, and nearly half depend on income from another job inside or outside publishing. https://lnkd.in/eiUbCgc8 #Publishing #PublishingIndustry #LiteraryAgents #AALA #PublishersWeekly #BookIndustry #AI #Copyright #IntellectualProperty #Authors #PublishingCareers #MediaIndustry #UnitedStates
