It was great to speak with a fantastic group of pharmacy leaders this week, in a very timely discussion about pharmacy funding and the impact this might have on contractors. Speaking in a new Pharmacy Business podcast "Reflections on Pharmacy Funding", recorded yesterday (4 June), Janet Morrison, Olivier Picard, Shilpa Shah, Malcolm Harrison and Reena Barai talked about how the announcement has been received, what’s next for contractors who still face a very significant gap in funding, and their thoughts on the challenges ahead. What great timing this was for me to join Pharmacy Business just as the contract was coming out and there’s so much to talk about. So far in my new role, we’ve hosted this podcast and other coverage on the pharmacy contract, put out a print edition of Pharmacy Business magazine, and I also enjoyed meeting contacts old and new at Sigma’s conference in Leicester.
