This cohort marks the start of our collaboration with a new partner — Gemeinschaftsklinikum Mittelrhein Koblenz — where students have now begun their training journey. We are equally grateful to our existing partners, Caritas-Krankenhaus Bad Mergentheim and Krankenhaus Tauberbischofsheim, for their continued trust and collaboration. These institutions have played a vital role in hosting previous cohorts and helping to shape the foundation of this program. One of the most powerful outcomes of this initiative has been the peer-led support system built by earlier cohorts. Past cohorts are stepping forward to welcome and guide the newcomers, providing mentorship, emotional support, and practical advice. Each new student is paired with a #buddy, ensuring they are not alone as they settle into their new environment. We would like to #acknowledge: ✴️University of Applied Sciences Koblenz, as the research lead, continues to provide essential academic leadership for this initiative. Special thanks to the SGAO team — Prof. Christian Lebrenz, Caroline Mwangi, Julia Reindel, Dr. Christopher Mutembei, Samuel Muli, and Susan Dettmer — for your tireless support in coordination, onboarding, and cross-border implementation. ✴️Mount Kenya University - MKU Kenya University for supporting project implementation in Kenya — from onboarding and training coordination to preparing students for successful integration in Germany. ✴️The #German Embassy in Nairobi for your incredible support in streamlining the visa application process. Your efficiency and commitment have been instrumental in making timely placements possible. ✴️ The AG-Career Hub, a partner and network of Kenyan professionals and alumni in Germany who continue to mentor, support, and guide the new arrivals. We also thank all our institutional partners for: ✅Covering travel and accommodation ✅Organizing airport pickups and essential supplies ✅Supporting students with onboarding and documentation ✅Providing cultural orientation and a warm welcome As we celebrate the arrival of Cohort 4, we are already preparing for Cohort 5, which has begun pre-departure training and visa processing in Kenya. This initiative is part of a broader research-driven effort focused on sustainable labour mobility, skills development, and healthcare system strengthening in both Germany and Kenya. We look forward to expanding this model and partnering with more institutions that share this vision. #KenyaToGermany #InternationalCooperation #HealthcareTraining #SkillsTransfer
