I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Managing Director - Head of Sustainable Finance Unit at SMBC Group EMEA! This is a new unit within our International & Structured Finance Department to help promote sustainable finance within the department, including developing marketing strategies, new business and account planning from an ESG angle. I will also be acting as Coordinator of our ESG Advisory & Solutions Hub, the virtual and cross-functional network of ESG experts within EMEA, where I will be working with other members of the Hub to accelerate ESG-related marketing and business activities on a product-agnostic basis, to contribute to clients’ decarbonisation strategies and SMBC Group’s sustainability commitments. After 20 years with a very transactional focus, this is an exciting step into marketing and strategy for me, and I look forward to helping SMBC and our clients take the next steps on our ESG journeys.
