Belgian students sing “Pueblo Unido” with orchestra. Go ahead, turn up the volume! 🙂 And enjoy! At a time when access to music for all is under threat (…), what a joy to attend this magnificent performance of ‘Odes to Tomorrow’ on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the Musical Youth. Young people from a dozen schools in Wallonia and Brussels share with us their concerns and hopes. All of this is accompanied by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Liège, the musicians of the Musical Youth, and some lesser-known composers 🙂 such as Ludwig van Beethoven, Giuseppe Verdi, Camille Saint-Saëns, Georges Bizet, Sergei Prokofiev, Samuel Barber, César Franck, Louise Farrenc, Jean-Baptiste Lully, Sergio Ortega, and Solomon Linda. What a moment! And how moved the composers would be to know that their music has been brought to life by the youth of 2025. Bravo and thank you, Julien Beurms. Bravo and thank you, Fabrice Murgia. Thank you for reminding us, once again, that another humanity exists.” #GrégorChapelle
