As you know, another terrible tragedy has hit my country, #Venezuela. Today, like so many Venezuelans around the world, my body is here in Spain, but my heart is there with my people. It’s so hard to focus on work when you’re constantly checking your phone, waiting for updates, hoping your loved ones are safe, and feeling powerless from thousands of miles away. So, if you work with Venezuelans, please consider giving them the day off or letting them leave early—with pay. This isn’t about productivity. It’s about empathy. Many of us are carrying grief, fear, uncertainty, and the emotional weight of watching our country go through another painful chapter while our families are living it in real time. Check in on your Venezuelan colleagues. Ask how they’re doing. Give them the space they need if you can, be patient. We will appreciate it more than you know, we have felt so powerless and so invisible for such a long time…. Some days, the kindest thing a company can do is simply recognize that work can wait, but family can’t. Thank you American Tower, Sofia Verissimo, Daniel Noguera, Thierry Amarger, Leonardo Torres, Juana Velosa, ALBERTO ARISTEGUI, Francisca Cruzado, Lucía Gil Serrano, Vanina Coraccio, Alfonso Cabrera Arroyo, Emmanuelle Iborra, Falko Goetz Ehlerding, Vânia Valdrez, Marina Rubia, Jesica Ileana Correa Galdeano, Inmaculada Reina García, Luis González Martín, Elvira GARCÍA, Charo, Silvia Medina, and anyone else I may have missed for your concern, your support, empathy, flexibility & patience.
