Today, we’re proud to announce that Avril Haines will be the next president of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. One of the most respected national security leaders of her generation, Avril was confirmed with broad bipartisan support before serving as Director of National Intelligence (DNI) from 2021 to 2025. Avril comes to Carnegie with decades of public service spanning all three branches of government, as well as thought leadership in academia.
