A few years ago, I had the opportunity to learn directly from Doc Palmer, one of the pioneers of Maintenance Planning and Scheduling. It was an experience that changed the way I see maintenance management. Today, I continue learning from his Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Handbook and, more importantly, applying those principles every day in my work. Maintenance planning is much more than scheduling work orders—it's about creating an efficient system where people, processes, and resources work together to improve reliability, safety, and business performance.
