I spent yesterday in paint-stained overalls. Honestly one of my favorite days in Paris. 🎨 Every year L'Oréal gives something rare to its employees — a full working day, on company time, to step away and give back. Citizen Day was created in 2010 and has grown into a global movement — and this year I was proud to be one of them. My volunteer team and I painted rooms at the Espace Miriam Makeba in Saint-Ouen — a shelter that welcomes homeless individuals and adult refugees every single day of the year, offering drop-in services, emergency accommodation, and address registration for those with nowhere else to turn. Named for Miriam Makeba — Mama Africa, anti-apartheid activist, icon — this space is a statement. That every human being deserves dignity, regardless of where they come from or how they arrived. That belief is not separate from my professional life. It is the same conviction that drives Waka Social Foundation — that access, inclusion, and dignity are not privileges. They are non-negotiable. A fresh coat of paint is a small act. But what it says to the people who live there is not small at all. You are worth showing up for. That is a message I want to spend my whole life sending — in boardrooms, in learning labs across Africa, and yes, in paint-stained overalls in Paris. ❤️ #LOrealCitizenDay #CitizenDay #WeAreAllCitizens #MiriamMakeba #BoldnessFirst #WAKASocialFoundation #InclusionMatters #HeartLedExcellence #GivingBack #WeAreLoreal
