“Be hopeful, good days will come.” In 2021, Tamim Ansar had to leave his life, his community work, and his degree in Afghanistan behind. Arriving in Canada marked his first time leaving home—a challenging transition made harder by being away from his family. But Tamim didn’t give up. He transferred his credits to Carleton, kept a positive mindset, and this June, he is officially graduating with a degree in Environmental Studies. 🎓 This fall, he will be returning to CU to pursue his Master of Science in Geography.
