🛠️ Happy International Women in Engineering Day! 🛠️ Almost five years ago, we launched the Women in Engineering and IT Program, one of the first of its kind in Canada. In partnership with leading industry organizations, we created a sustainable university to career pipeline by offering women students in a STEM program at Carleton with mentorship, networking and career-ready skill development opportunities as well as a study lounge for women in engineering and IT. Last academic year we welcomed 1,000+ participants and provided 500+ students with study-lounge access, all in celebration of the trailblazing women engineering students driving innovation and advancing a more inclusive, diverse engineering community. ✅ Nearly 600 event attendees ✅ Over 100 students attended more than one event ✅ 74% said WiE&IT helped them build a network of women in STEM Thank you to our wonderful partners who are our teammates in achieving positive change!
