Leadership is often measured by the impact it creates over time. Today, we recognise Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Fidelity Bank Plc. She joined Fidelity Bank as an Executive Director in 2015 and, in January 2021, became the first woman to lead the bank as Managing Director and CEO. Since then, she has overseen a remarkable period of growth. Under her leadership, Fidelity Bank increased its Profit Before Tax from ₦25.22 billion in FY2021 to ₦122 billion in FY2023, expanded its digital offerings with solutions such as PayGate Plus, and strengthened its support for SMEs across Nigeria and beyond. Dr. Onyeali-Ikpe's contributions have earned her several recognitions, including Banker of the Year 2022, Best Banking CEO Nigeria 2023, and a place among BusinessDay's Top 25 CEOs in Nigeria.
