Organizations say they hire for potential. But look closely at who actually gets hired. 📛 Same schools. 📛 Same companies. 📛 Same career paths. In practice, potential often means: someone who looks like people who already succeeded there. ⸻ Real potential doesn’t always look familiar. It shows up in people whose experience doesn’t map neatly to the role, but whose thinking, adaptability, and problem-solving stand out.
