Post by Care for Kosovo Kids Foundation (CfKK)

Earlier this month, we had the pleasure of hosting two interns from the Netherlands, Cornelis Luijt and Jelmer de Haas, who shadowed us throughout our work week. At just 17 years old, they were eager to learn about how CfKK supports children with cancer in Kosovo and how healthcare challenges are tackled on the ground. Cornelis said: "I was surprised by how fast Kosovo is developing. I thought the country might still show signs of war damage, but instead found modern buildings and projects everywhere. It’s great to see so much positive energy here." Jelmer shared: "I knew CfKK helped children with cancer, but didn’t realize how complex it is to get medicine here. It gave me a new perspective on the healthcare system and the effort it takes to support patients." More from their visit coming soon ..
