Last month, we were proud to host a Liveability Plan Forum at Deep Creek Reserve in Pakenham alongside our local partner agencies Aligned Leisure, Bayside Health, Better Health Network, Monash Health, South East Public Health Unit, Victoria Police, Women's Health in the South East, and Myli. This event celebrated our partnership in pursuing improved social conditions and health for our community and was an opportunity to launch our renewed Liveability Plan. Our Liveability Plan 2017-19 recognises Council’s role in coordinating local public health planning, by bringing together a range of organisations, groups and our local community to collectively protect, improve and promote the health and wellbeing of our community and the land we live on, now and into the future. Reviewed to ensure we are focused on emerging health and wellbeing priorities through extensive community consultation, research and partnership planning, the renewed Plan provides guidance for addressing our community’s health and wellbeing needs over the next four years. As one of Victoria’s fastest growing municipalities, we have an opportunity to build a liveable, inclusive, and sustainable community, with social and economic systems that promote health. To do this, we need the public and private sectors, all levels of government, and our communities to be championing progress towards this vision. Aligning our priorities and coordinating our efforts will ensure that we make the best use of local resources. Read our renewed Plan now at https://lnkd.in/gyx8cqZE
