šØ Episode 8 of Season 4 of the Carbon Exposure Podcast is out now! Our guest is Mandy Rambharos, CEO of Verra ā the largest carbon crediting standard in the world, with over 4,000 projects across 100+ countries and more than a billion tonnes issued. Two years ago, Mandy took over Verra at the toughest moment in the standard's history. In her first year, the organization posted a $19 million loss. In her second, that was down to $1 million. Twelve methodologies now hold ICVCM approval. Twenty-four have been digitized. Review times on the DMRV pilots have dropped by 70%. But the shift Mandy is most focused on is a mindset one: "We don't talk about integrity anymore. It's part of the DNA now. It's not something we strive for, it's something we have. And now we look at scale." We also discuss: ⢠Mandy's journey from Eskom, to co-chairing Article 6.4 in Glasgow, to Verra ⢠The financial turnaround and what it took ⢠Why speed and integrity are not opposing concepts ⢠"Capital is like a shy deer", and what makes it stop running ⢠Dropping the V: the unification of carbon markets ⢠The "horses for courses" logic for different credit use cases ⢠Why the EU needs international credits š§ Watch the full episode now.
