Following a successful inaugural run last year, we concluded the second edition of the #NTUxJPM Corporate Mentoring Programme in partnership with J.P. Morgan last Friday. This edition was organised by the NTU Career & Attachment Office, supported by the NTU Office of Alumni Engagement. The session began with an inspiring opening address by NBS alumnus Mr. Wei Han Ong, who shared his journey from studying Accountancy at NTU to becoming Chief Administrative Officer, Asia Pacific at J.P. Morgan. His story highlighted how curiosity, adaptability, and continuous learning can open doors to unexpected and impactful career pathways. Through engaging conversations with NTU alumni currently working across various functions at J.P. Morgan, students from diverse backgrounds gained first-hand insights into the firm’s wide range of career pathways. Learning directly from their mentors, students deepened their understanding of how transferable skills such as strong communication and teamwork are applied at the workplace. They also reflected on the importance of looking beyond the “how” to understand the “why”, embracing curiosity as a key mindset in navigating complex real-world challenges. Corporate mentorship programmes like these continue to bridge classroom learning with industry practice, strengthening both the capabilities and confidence of our students. The programmes also highlight that career pathways are increasingly flexible, even for those from non-traditional backgrounds. Our sincere thanks to the team at J.P. Morgan Iris Neo Justin Tiong and our NTU alumni mentors for their continued partnership and for inspiring the next generation as they take their first steps into the working world. #NTUxJPM #caontusg #NTUMentorship JPMorganChase Yi Min Beh Gilbert Khonstantine Bingying Chen, FRM Elise Soh Zhen Wei Tan Eleanor Yap Denise Lam Huy Anh Nguyen Fangwei F.
