This week, staff from the Canadian Coatings Association (CCA) were in Washington, D.C. for the annual Board of Directors meeting of the World Coatings Council (WCC), hosted by the American Coatings Association (ACA). The meeting brought together coatings associations from across the globe,  including Canada, the United States, China, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, and France, to discuss shared priorities and strengthen international collaboration across our sector. The WCC provides a unique forum for industry leaders to exchange perspectives and work collectively on issues that impact coatings manufacturers and supply chains worldwide. We are also pleased to share that CCA President & CEO, Dave Carey, was elected to the WCC Board of Directors during this year’s meeting. Prior to the WCC meetings, the CCA team also visited the Canadian Embassy in Washington, D.C. to meet with senior officials to discuss the importance of CUSMA/USMCA, the deep integration of the North American coatings sector, and key provisions of the agreement that are critical to the success of our members. Thank you to Jay Allen, Minister (Economic), and his team for taking the time to meet with CCA. #CoatingsIndustry #GlobalTrade #Manufacturing #USMCA #IndustryLeadership
