We are always asking how we can do better for the people who take part in research. Clinical trials depend on participants, and we value their perspectives in helping shape how studies are delivered. While participant engagement is widely discussed in clinical research, formal Consumer Advisory Panels at site level remain rare in Australia. Yesterday, we took an important step in that direction and held our first Consumer Advisory Panel (CAP) meeting. Thank you to all of our CAP members for being so open and thoughtful in the discussion. Your insights will genuinely help improve the experience for participants across all of our sites. We were also incredibly grateful and honoured to have Luan Lawrenson-Woods join us to open the day and help set the tone. Luan’s work advocating for meaningful consumer involvement in health research is truly inspiring. This was the first of many meetings, and we look forward to continuing to learn from and work alongside our CAP members as we keep striving to place participants at the center of everything we do. #consumervoice #patientadvocacy #patientvoice #codesign #consumeradvisory #clinicaltrials #patientrecruitment #canopycares
