Take a look at how Jackson from TRIPOD, together with Drexel University and Writers Room, beautifully captures the little moments of Philly life—especially how people carry things around the city. "I love how people carry things around in the city. I, like many people in Philadelphia, don’t own a car, so I have had to get creative with how I transport more than just a backpack worth of items. I had a caddy like this one at one point, but it fell apart with all of my groceries in it and I have feared them since. Nonetheless, I love it when people have wire ones like this one because they become these collages of their life up to that point. One of the things that I love about Philadelphia’s Market Frankford Line is how open and airy it is. Most elevated stations don’t have tall buildings nearby, so you can see a long way in every direction and catch a breeze in the summer. Waiting for the train on this 2024 summer day, I snapped this picture quickly with the camera on my hip. I love to shoot photos from my hip; it allows me to stay completely in the moment and remember it from another perspective, making it even more exciting to get home and see the photos of the day. When I look back at this photo, I remember how hot it was that summer and how grateful I was for the shade provided by the platform awning. The contrast between either side perfectly conveys the relief felt getting under that roof."
