What an incredible week! 🚆 Our railway delegation to Ontario and Québec has just concluded, and it was an impactful exchange between people, businesses, and two great countries. Canada is investing heavily in rail infrastructure modernization – from Ontario's 16 km "Ontario Line" and Toronto's subway expansion to Montréal's groundbreaking fully automated "Réseau express métropolitain" (REM). These projects represent extraordinary opportunities for German-Canadian collaboration. This delegation brought together German engineering excellence in railroad construction and railway technology with Canada's bold infrastructure vision. The conversations, partnerships, and collaborative opportunities that emerged this week have the potential to shape the future of sustainable rail transportation in both countries.
