In recognition of International Women’s Day, our CG Employee Network was proud to welcome Holly Brennan OAM, CEO of the Centre Against Domestic Abuse (CADA), to our Brisbane office. Framed by this year’s IWD theme, ‘Give to Gain’, Holly shared powerful insights into the realities of domestic and family violence in Australia – and what meaningful, practical support truly looks like. From emergency accommodation to safety upgrades and essential resources, Holly highlighted the importance of personalised care and strong community collaboration. She also reflected on CADA’s growth from seven volunteers to more than 75 staff, now supporting 26,000+ people each year. We’re grateful to Holly for her leadership and honesty, and for reminding us that change begins with awareness, compassion, and collective action.
