Just wrapped up a very interesting project of my degree. For my Medical Informatics course at the Politecnico di Milano, my team built CVDCare: a home monitoring system for cardiovascular diseases that integrates with wearable devices. The idea: a patient with a heart condition shouldn't have to wait until their next appointment to know something's wrong. So we built an app that continuously monitors heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and physical activity and triggers real-time alerts when something looks off (tachycardia, hypotension, cardiovascular stress, etc.). We designed separate dashboards for patients, doctors, caregivers, and psychologists. Because managing a chronic condition is never just one person's job.
