Each year on 28 April, Council staff pause to mark International Day of Mourning, a time to remember those who have lost their lives, been injured, or become ill as a result of their work. We honour their memory and stand with their families, colleagues, and communities. This day also serves as a reminder of our shared responsibility to create safer workplaces. Council’s staff commemoration ceremony today provided an opportunity for reflection and commitment to fostering environments that prioritise health and safety.
