CSUB has a long tradition of welcoming distinguished guests and dignitaries to campus. This past Saturday, President Harper hosted the Consul General of India in Los Angeles, Dr. K. J. Srinivasa, at the Solario de Fortaleza in the Student Recreation Center. The Consul General shared a powerful message with our campus and community, highlighting the shared history between India and the United States and the continued growth of our partnership. He emphasized the importance of civic engagement, participation in the democratic process and the transformative power of education. A special thank you goes to students who attended, CSUB Foundation Board members Dr. Ravi Patel and Angelo Mazzei, community leader Dr. Girish Patel, Mrs. Radika, chair of the Indian Association of San Joaquin Valley, Provost Deborah Thein, CSUB Chief Financial Officer Dr. Kristen Watson, CSUB’s deans and Dr. Aaron Hegde. We also appreciate staff from the Student Recreation Center., University Police Department and University Advancement who helped make this visit a success.
