Working under the supervision of the District Administrative Chief, you'll support visitor services operations by assisting guests, maintaining campground records, collecting fees, and helping keep park facilities clean, safe, and welcoming. If you enjoy working with people and spending time outdoors, this is a great opportunity to make a difference while working in a stunning park setting. ✅ In this role, you'll: ✔️ Open and close the visitor center and kiosk each day ✔️ Assist visitors with questions about park rules, facilities, and directions ✔️ Collect fees, make change, and complete daily cash register accounting ✔️ Register campers and maintain accurate campground occupancy records ✔️ Sell park passes, firewood, and park maps ✔️ Prepare bank drops and deposit bags ✔️ Conduct daily camp checks using a state vehicle ✔️ Keep visitor areas clean and free of litter and debris ✔️ Perform light maintenance, housekeeping, and resource protection duties ✔️ Support positive relationships with park visitors and volunteers ✔️ Report issues and concerns to appropriate park staff 📍 Location: Malibu Creek State Park (with occasional work throughout the Malibu Sector) Position: Park Aide (Seasonal) Salary: $17.38 - $20.69 per hour Final Filing Date: 6/22/2026 Additional Details: • Seasonal position that may work up to 1,500 hours within 12 consecutive months • Position is not eligible for telework • Must be willing to work weekends, nights, and holidays as needed • Work includes both indoor visitor service duties and outdoor park operations Help visitors connect with California's natural and cultural resources while building valuable customer service and park operations experience!
