As an Associate State Archaeologist working under the direction of the State Historian III, you’ll play a vital role in preserving and protecting California’s rich cultural resources. From managing archaeological sites and collections to conducting environmental reviews and collaborating with Tribal partners, this position blends fieldwork, research, and cultural stewardship.
