🟣🌍 CAF Zone West B: A historic first training course dedicated to the media in 2025 From 4 to 6 February 2025, CAF Zone West-B organised its very first training course for communications managers from the seven member federations. This major initiative, spearheaded by Mr Philippe Tchere, Executive Director of CAF Zone West-B, marks a turning point in the professionalisation of the regional football media ecosystem. The official opening was presided over by Mr Yacine Idriss Diallo, President of the Ivorian Football Federation, and the closing ceremony was honoured by H.E. Mr Mattias Veltin, German Ambassador to Côte d'Ivoire. 🎓 Three days of expertise and capacity building Participants benefited from high-level presentations on key topics: * Digital and sports communication * Crisis management and sensitive communication * Sponsorship and partnership With renowned experts: * Ms M'ma Camara, Head of the France 24 local office * Mr Julien Adaye, journalist and correspondent for Deutsche Welle * Mr Joël Nianzou, President of the Côte d'Ivoire Digital Media Network This training enabled communications managers to strengthen their skills, harmonise their practices and improve media coverage of football throughout the region. 🟣 An important milestone for CAF ZONE WEST-B Beyond technical reinforcement, this initiative helped consolidate solidarity among member federations and contributed to promoting greater visibility for West African football on the international stage. A successful first edition that paves the way for new dynamics of collaboration, innovation and professionalisation within CAF Zone West-B.
