Lou is passionate about her role in supporting and educating our Brighton nursing staff. A Cabrini team member for 12 years, Lou knows the impact that education can bring. “Once, when teaching staff at the bedside on maintenance of a PICC line, the patient’s family started listening too and were so grateful as they felt they had learnt something as well. They felt so much more confident about going home.” Like Lou, our Clinical Education teams help build a skilled and confident workforce by offering structured learning and ongoing professional development for nursing and clinical staff. They run graduate programs, speciality education, simulation training, and provide tailored support to meet service needs. The team also works closely with clinical areas to strengthen practice standards, build workforce capability, and improve patient care and overall experience.
