We are pleased to announce that we have received a Sustainable Loan for the energy-efficient renovation of our “Karlsgärten” office building in Berlin! The loan was granted in accordance with the guidelines of the KfW subsidy program for energy-efficient buildings.   Martin Löcker, Group Head of Development at CA Immo: “Economical success must go hand in hand with decarbonization. The Sustainable Loan as well as BAFA sustainability subsidies both support the refurbishment project and implementation of sustainability and energy efficiency measures in the Karlsgärten building.”   As part of the project, a wide range of measures are being implemented, including improvements to the building envelope, the replacement of windows, and the renovation and insulation of the facade, roof, and basement ceiling. This renovation primarily utilizes sustainable materials or materials with a high recycled content.   The refurbishment project is being carried out in alignment with the EU Taxonomy and will achieve DGNB Platinum certification as well as classification as an Efficiency Building 55 with the “Sustainable Building” (QNG Plus) quality seal.
