Black Women on Boards Rising Foundation, a group of high-performing and high-potential leaders at public and private companies on the rise to their first C-Suite role, gathered for extraordinary community building and executive development this past weekend at their annual summit. The focus of the high-energy day in Silicon Valley was on strengthening the clarity, confidence, and strategic vision to successfully lead at the highest levels by way of the PIVOT Blueprint career accelerator. Attendees traveled from throughout the country to examine their journeys, challenge limiting narratives, own their value, and envision futures that are intentional, strategic, and deeply aligned with who they are becoming. The conversations challenged assumptions, the reflections sparked new possibilities, and the collective ambition in the room served as a powerful reminder of what is possible when talented women invest intentionally in their growth and leadership journey. One of many key takeaways: Leadership is not simply about reaching the next title. It is about expanding your capacity, clarifying your purpose, and developing the confidence to lead authentically. This weekend created space for all three. Heartfelt thanks to phenomenal speakers Lakecia Gunter, Trudy Bourgeois, and Felicia Mayo who shared powerful lessons on the path to executive leadership. Their perspectives challenged the group to think bigger, lead bolder, and step fully into their purpose. Special thanks to Mich Razon, a BWOB member, who also shared invaluable insights from her senior executive journey and the Rising group’s leader, Heather Davis, who made it all possible and perfect. What really stood out was a collective commitment to growth and as the event host and group founder Merline Saintil notes, the broader generational growth that comes from lifting as one rises. Everyone’s candor and courage expanded the conversation with fresh insights, and the future of executive leadership is clearly brighter because of this remarkable community!
