BWI Group is accelerating its brake business worldwide, connecting its R&D and manufacturing network across Europe, Americas, and China and completing a four-continent global R&D footprint. The newly opened BWI Group R&D Center in Itupeva- SP, Brazil, marks more than just a geographic expansion, it’s a clear signal of how fast smart chassis technologies are going global. The facility focuses on Control Brakes and Electronic Parking Brake technology, product localization, and technical support for automakers in South America, further strengthening BWI’s global engineering capabilities. In Europe, engineering teams from the Technical Center in Torino, Italy, will soon launch the first customer program, introducing BWI Group’s Brake ByWire system (One Box-iDBC1) to European customers for the first time in the company’s history.
