Another great testimonial just received from NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment DPIE on my recent engagement with them for a high profile transformation program And I would like to share the main key practices I used implemented that helped get great results quickly. This might be a helpful list to fellow transformation professionals (I know you have great experience and high calibre capabilities so won’t talk about that) The main takeouts are: 🟩No meetings unless necessary. I don’t like to waste people’s time or pretend to look busy. This has helped gain people’s instant buy-in, respect and they get to experience something different 🟦Seek to gather the necessary information before jumping to conclusions. Sounds basic, but often underestimated. It’s easy to make assumptions. Be persistent to understand root causes and ask good questions 🟨Under pressure, remain calm. Seek to acquire higher grounds to see clearly and create true value. This helps to see different perspectives and enrich conversations which then leads to the outcome in a value-adding way rather than deliver “something” that is pressure-driven 🟧Seek to understand the dynamics and the political landscape early on to avoid unnecessary delays later on 🟥Transformations are complex by nature with many moving parts, seek to have a 360 view before embarking on a journey to analysis or design 🟫Speak the business language when speaking to business and speak tech language when speaking to tech ⬛️Make your intentions clear and if you don’t know, say you don’t know Finally, I would like to thank the team ..
