An authentic gesture for a few can resonate with millions. To honor the owners who built the F-150’s legacy for its 50th anniversary, Ford Motor Company turned a corporate milestone into authentic community recognition. Knowing that truck owners who rely on their hands for work find traditional key fobs cumbersome, we identified an opportunity to merge function with the rodeo belt buckle – a badge of pride in American truck country. Enter the Truckle, the world’s first belt buckle turned key fob. Created in partnership with legendary craftsman Andy Andrews, this design intervention solved a real pain point. What started as a community tribute quickly caught fire far beyond the ranch, reaching fashion blogs, F1 paddocks, and celebrity waistlines, while deepening brand loyalty through earned credibility.
